Elena Kallona

VICE CHAIRWOMAN Managing Director, JUNGHEINRICH Hellas

Elena Kallona has been Managing Director of Jungheinrich Hellas, one of the largest providers of integrated intralogistics solutions, since 2002. She started her career in June 1992, alongside her Marketing and Public Relations studies.  

With more than 30 years of professional experience in a purely male-dominated industry, she seeks to make a difference.  Under her leadership, the company has increased its results over time, achieved significant market shares in the Greek market, developed partnerships with major clients and strengthened its dynamic position by increasing its human capital despite a highly volatile and demanding environment. In recent years, she participated in the Group’s “Future of Work” team, co-creating better working conditions for the Group’s workforce worldwide and in the organization’s team defining its purpose, emphasizing her commitment to promoting sustainable and ethical business practices.   

In June 2023, she was elected Vice Chairwoman of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors and is a member of the same chamber’s ‘Empowering People’ committee.  In February 2024, he was elected Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of ACEO (Association of CEOs).

She contributes to women’s empowerment in the logistics industry through her role on the Organizing Board of the newly established WiL (Women in Logistics HUB), supported by the Hellenic Logistics Society (EEL). 

For the year 2023, she is among the 10 Top Leaders in Greece in the category CEO of Humans and has been among the 30 Most Powerful Women in Business for the last four years (Fortune: Most Powerful Women in Business).
