Many Happy Returns to our Association of Chief Executive Officers!
This year, the Association of Chief Executive Officers celebrates its 35th anniversary since its establishment. It’s an important anniversary for our Organisation and the top management in general which is well represented by the Association since 1986, when 32 visionaries – being pioneers in that area at that time – wanted to create a living cell, an organisational unit of ideals and values for leadership and business.
During its long course, the Association tries to pace with the developments and one step ahead of them, seeks to support and contribute to the business dialogue and the development of the country’s economy.
I have had the pleasure of being a member of this great ‘family’ for 29 years – for 21 of these years being part of the management of the Organization. So, I am aware of all the efforts, the willingness to contribute to others, he work that has been done by all the Boards of Directors, by the Chairmen in office, the dozens of members who voluntarily participate and contribute and also by the staff.
The human resources of the Association are its inexhaustible power I refer to our members, our partners, our friends, the readers of our journal, the business leaders and the executives who warmly embrace our actions as well as to the socially sensitive and responsible companies, those companies that have a vision and support our initiatives to improve the level of top management. The Association moves ahead, hand in hand, with this intangible asset 35 years now, and it will keep on moving ahead with this asset, informing others, fostering an ongoing reflection, innovating, providing a networking and cooperation platform, acting responsibly as a lasting power of leadership.
The issue you hold in your hands is special to us. It makes a brief look at the background of the Association, for the old member to remember its long course and the younger members to get to know it; this issue presents the vision of the Board of Directors for these three years which we are going through and it also includes your warm wishes for our anniversary.
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone concerned, to all our members, friends and partners as well as to all the companies that support our actions.
