Message the Chairman of the BOD, Yanni Papachristou

ACEO has represented the country’s top professional management since 1986 and has played a decisive role in the development of the Greek economy and entrepreneurship. The companies led by our members operate across almost all sectors of the economy, with a combined turnover exceeding €101 billion and employing more than 251,000 people.

Building on the valuable historical legacy of several decades, we have set ambitious goals for the period 2024–2026, which are summarized in three strategic priorities:

  • Expanding ACEO’s footprint in the Greek economy and society.

  • Strengthening solidarity, interaction, and well-being among our members.

  • Continuously enhancing the leadership skills of our members.

Our purpose is to contribute to raising the level of leadership and excellence of the country’s top management. Through targeted initiatives, we aim to become a catalyst for positive change for our country and to create added value for our members. We promote healthy entrepreneurship for the benefit of the economy and Greek society, thereby contributing to the creation of a better life for all.

The accumulated experience of our members from all sectors of the economy can contribute to the public dialogue with social and economic stakeholders, as well as with the state. In this way, ACEO can fulfill its institutional role. In particular, best management practices from the private sector could prove useful in upgrading the public sector, which remains a key priority for all governments and citizens of Greece.

The continuous provision of management know-how to our members contributes to enhancing their skills through the exchange of ideas and best practices, as well as through distinguished external speakers at our events and conferences. In an environment of change and challenges such as Digital Transformation, the Climate Crisis, the need for Corporate Governance, the Green Transition, and more, our members have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the latest developments across the entire spectrum of economic activity and the most modern techniques of effective management.

Finally, solidarity and interaction among our members is a key priority that creates professional opportunities among members and the companies they lead. Sports, social, and cultural events strengthen the connection between members and ensure moments of relaxation and enjoyment for members and their families.

The new Board of Directors includes distinguished senior executives, members with experience in the Association’s governance, as well as new members with a strong willingness to contribute. Our shared goal is to work together with a spirit of teamwork and determination so that, by the end of our term, ACEO will stand as an important institutional body that provides exceptional knowledge to its members and maximizes solidarity and interaction among them.

Yannis Papachristou
Chairman of the Board of Directors
