Interesting facts and information, proposals for improving the competitiveness of the public sector, as well as an important research study, were presented during the 4th Public & Private Sector Dialogue Day, the “Bridges for Collaboration” event that was organized by the Association of Chief Executive Officers (ACEO). Στόχος της εκδήλωσης, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο αμφιθέατρο του Μουσείου Μπενάκη την Τετάρτη 28 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022, ήταν να αναδειχθούν βέλτιστες πρακτικές και να συζητηθούν ζητήματα που απασχολούν τα στελέχη στις επιχειρήσεις και τον δημόσιο τομέα.

President of the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP), addressed the challenges created by the implementation of the new institutional framework with the implementation of Law 4765/2021 on recruitment processes in the public sector. The Managing Director of FOCUS BARI SA and member of the ACEO Board of Directors, Ms. Valeria Tsami, presented the findings of the special ACEO research study on the attitudes and the perceptions in relation to the soft skills and their importance in working life. The findings of this special survey on the role of skills at work were then discussed and commented in a panel discussion by the General Secretary for Human Resources of the Public Sector of the Ministry of Interior, Ms. Vivi Charalambogianni, the ACEO Chairman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Managing Director and General Manager of Xerox Hellas S.A., Mr. Vassilis Rabbat,as well as by Mr. Panagiotis Karkatsoulis, Councillor at Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP. The ACEO Chairman, Mr. Vassilis Rabbat, pointed out that “The Association of Chief Executive Officers will continue to actively contribute to the strengthening and modernization of the public sector by making the most of its expertise in professional management”. Ms. Georgia Valatsou,Permanent Secretary General at the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Yannis PapachristouACEO Board General Secretary, & CEO at Antenna Group Greece, and Mr. Panos LivadasManaging Director of Nova Constructions SA – Green Properties, referred to the relations between the public sector with the everyday life of the citizen, while the topic of the following panel discussion, attended by Ms. Ms. Paraskevi Dramalioti, President at National Centre of Public Administration & Local Governance (EKDDA), Ms. Marika Lambrou, Founder and CEO at the consulting firm CEL (Compassionate Entrepreneurial Leadership), Business Consultant and Author, and Dr. Lefteris Anastasakis, Vice President in PRIORITY Quality Consultants, was the development of skills and professional effectiveness in working life. During this panel discussion,

Dr. Anastasios Stalikas, President at the Psychology Department, Psychology professor and the current President of the Hellenic Society of Positive Psychology, analysed the “Pentagon of Happiness”.

The continuous effort of the Association to establish a two-way and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Private and Public Sectors was pointed out by Mr. John Anastasopoulos, Advisor to the ACEO Board, at the conclusion of this event.

The Conference was coordinated by Mr. Giorgos Kouvaras, journalist, assisted by the journalist, Ms. Katerina Douka.

Basic Development Skills in positions of responsibility in the Public Sector | Bridges for Cooperation

Following up the EASO’s initiative for the cooperation of the Public and Private sectors, the Association of Chief Executive Officers (ACEO) was invited by the National School of Public Administration and Local Government (ESDDA), the educational unit of the National Centre of Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA), in order to co-organise, on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022, an event that took place at the “Kosmas Psychopaidis” Auditorium of EKDDA, with the participation of the ESDDA students. Welcoming speeches were extended by President at National Centre of Public Administration & Local Governance (EKDDA), the ACEO Chairman, Dr. Ms. Paraskevi DramaliotiChairman of the ACEO Board of Directors, Managing Director and General Manager of Xerox Hellas S.A., Mr. Vassilis Rabbat, and the General Secretary for Human Resources of the Public Sector of the Ministry of Interior, Ms. Vivi Charalambogianni Under the coordination of Mr. John Anastasopoulos, Advisor to the ACEO Board, the students the National Centre of Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) discussed the importance of skills with the ACEO Chairman, Chairman of the ACEO Board of Directors, Mr. Vassilis Rabbat, and Dr. Lefteris Anastasakis, Vice President in PRIORITY Quality Consultants, Ms. Marika Lambrou, Founder and CEO at the consulting firm CEL (Compassionate Entrepreneurial Leadership), Business Consultant and Author, Mr. Theodoros Kitsos, Vice Chairman, Independent Non Executive Member, at Thrace Plastics and Angelina Michailidou, General Manager & Partner at RESPONSE BUSINESS CONSULTANTS SA.
