Since 1986, the Association of Chief Executive Officers (ACEO) is the highest professional management body in the country representing the top executives of Greece and making a decisive contribution to the development of the Greek economy and entrepreneurship. The companies that are run by our members are active in almost all sectors of the economy and have a turnover of several billion euros and a number of employees of over 200,000.
Building on the valuable historical legacy of many decades, we have set a series of ambitious goals for the three-year period of 2024-2026, which are summarised in the following three strategic priorities:
Our goal and mission is to contribute to the upgrade of the level of leadership as well as to the excellence of our country’s top management, to become a catalyst for positive change for our country through targeted actions and to create an added value for our members. We promote sound entrepreneurship for the benefit of the Greek economy and society, contributing, thus, to the creation of a better life for all the people.
The accumulated experience of our members from all sectors of the economy can contribute to the public and open dialogue with social and economic actors, as well as to the public and open dialogue with the public sector authorities. In this way, the Association of Chief Executive Officers (ACEO) can fulfil its institutional role. In particular, good management practices in the private sector could be useful in upgrading the public sector, which is the main challenge for all governments and citizens of Greece.
The constant transfer of management expertise to our members improves their skills through the exchange of ideas and best practices, as well as through distinguished external speakers at our events and conferences. In an environment of changes and challenges like the Digital Transformation, the Climate Crisis, the need for Corporate Governance, the Green Shift (the shift to a greener future), etc., our members have the opportunity to learn from first-hand experience the latest developments across the spectrum of economic activity and the latest techniques of effective management.
Finally, solidarity and interaction between our members are essential in achieving professional opportunities among the members and the companies they run. Sports, social and cultural events achieve the bonding and the connection among the members and they ensure moments of pleasure and relaxation for the members and their families.
The new Board of Directors includes recognised senior executives, members with experience in the Association’s administration as well as new members with a willingness to contribute to the Association as well as to its members. Our common goal is to work together with team spirit and determination, so that, by the end of our term of office, the ACEO will be an important institutional body that will provide excellent knowledge to its members and will also have maximized solidarity and interaction among its members.
